When making a CBAM declaration, you can either "Create" a report or "Upload" an XML contained within a ZIP folder.

Once you've created your XML via the CarbonChain platform and you download your CBAM declaration you will have a ZIP folder in your downloads folder. This ZIP contains a .XML file alongside any installation data or supporting evidence included in your declaration.

In the EU Transitional Registry, you must then upload the ZIP folder in order for this to load up your declaration.

Please ensure that you amend the Header Signatory information before submission.

To amend a historical report via XML please follow the steps in the attached guidance. If you face a "ReportID" error, please contact support@carbonchain.com and provide the report ID in the "My Quarterly Reports" section of the EU Transitional Registry. CarbonChain will amend your XML to include your unique Report ID. Please note, when amending via XML, this will overwrite the existing declaration, so please include all relevant goods cleared in the relevant quarter.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact support@carbonchain.com
