Release Notes - April 2026

Significant updates to our installation users' experience in platform

April focused on making CarbonChain easier to use day to day. We improved the installations experience, made supplier collaboration smoother, and added clearer guidance so teams can move through data preparation with more confidence.

Highlights

  • A more capable installations workspace - You can now view richer cost and emissions insights, manage reporting periods, and keep working even when only part of your data is available.

  • Smoother supplier collaboration - Suppliers can join more easily, and data requests now include more context to help you get better responses faster.

  • Clearer progress through data preparation - New guidance, progress indicators, and usability updates make it easier to complete complex workflows.

New Features

  • Installation reporting periods - Manage multiple reporting periods for an installation, including cloning existing periods to prepare future submissions more efficiently.

  • Enhanced installation insights - Installation pages now surface cost and emissions breakdowns in a clearer, more actionable layout.

  • Support for partial data uploads - Continue working with installations even when only some data is available, with clearer next steps for completing missing information.

  • Supplier self-serve access - Suppliers can now join the right workspace more easily using organisation-based access rules tied to email domain.

  • Request context in supplier outreach - Add context and extra contact details when requesting or re-requesting supplier data.

Platform Improvements

  • Data sharing overview - New summary cards make it easier to see supplier engagement, stale data, and where follow-up is needed.

  • Calculator usability updates - The calculator now reacts more clearly to changes and presents results in a more readable way.

  • Guided installation data entry - Progress indicators and in-product guidance make installation workflows easier to follow.

  • Activity form clarity - Smaller updates improved validation feedback, rounding behaviour, and readability in activity forms.

Bug Fixes

  • More reliable product setup - Resolved issues that could block adding certain products during installation data entry.

  • Improved category mapping - Product and material mappings now behave more consistently in installation workflows.

  • Cleaner data sharing layouts - Fixed several interface issues in data sharing views, including long email addresses and filter layout problems.

  • Less noisy update requests - Update requests are now grouped more cleanly to reduce unnecessary email clutter.
